In the summer of 2008, I took my dad and two friends from Biola University to Senegal, Africa. We worked alongside my uncle, aunt, and three cousins in ministering to the Fulakunda people. My dad helped with construction projects and built relationships over tea with the young men of the village while the girls and I traveled from hut to hut prayer-walking and hearing the women's stories and sharing our own about Jesus. It was an incredible experience, full of challenges and blessings. I learned so much about myself, the culture, and my faith. It was a stretching experience I will never forget.
